A: No, we won’t ask for any payment details during registration. You only provide payment information when you’re ready to book or receive payments as a host.
Q: When do hosts pay fees?
A: Hosts only pay a service fee after a successful booking. There are no upfront costs, listing fees, or hidden charges. We believe in fair, transparent pricing—your space, your terms.
Q: What if I just want to look around before committing?
A: That’s perfectly fine. You can register, explore listings, and even create your own host profile without making any financial commitments.
Q: Is there a concierge service for hosts and renters?
A: Yes! Hosts can opt into our paid concierge service for premium support, while eligible renters receive concierge benefits free of charge. It’s all part of our commitment to secure, hassle-free storage.

Q: What is the Concierge Service?
A: The Concierge Service is a premium support package that some hosts offer. It may include listing setup, renter vetting, booking management, featured placement on the website, move-in coordination, and priority support.
Q: Is the Concierge Service mandatory?
A: No. The service is optional and based on agreement between the renter and the host. Hosts may offer it, and renters can choose whether to accept it or request alternatives.
Q: How is the Concierge Service priced?
A: The standard fee is typically equivalent to one month’s rental for each booking, plus the GoGet van hire cost (paid by the host). This fee is charged when the unit is booked.
Alternatively, where hosts offer our Concierge Service, renters may request one month rent-free instead of the Concierge Service, or hosts and their agents may choose to provide the service themselves.
Q: Who qualifies for the complimentary move-in van?
A: Long-term renters using a unit supported by the Concierge Service may be eligible. If you qualify, our team will coordinate the booking for you.
Q: Can hosts manage listings without the Concierge Service?
A: Yes. Hosts may choose to manage their own listings and bookings independently. Listings supported by the Concierge Service typically receive enhanced visibility and dedicated support.
Q: What if I have specific requirements or questions?
A: Message your host directly if you have any specific requirements or questions about the services they may offer. The final arrangement is based on what the renter wants and what the host is willing to provide.

Q: What types of storage units are available?
A: Units vary in size and features. Some include windows for ventilation and natural light, while others have roller or swing doors for different access needs.
Q: Can I list my storage unit if I’m a strata owner at 601 Little Collins Street?
A: Absolutely. Our platform is designed to support strata owners and CBD-based storage providers.
Q: How do I make my listing stand out?

Q: How much does it cost to list my space?
A: Listing is completely free. You can create and publish your listing at no cost.
Q: Are there any fees for hosts?
A: Yes, but only when your space is successfully rented. We charge a 5% service fee on each completed booking. This covers secure payment processing, renter verification, and platform support. For the first 12 month’s we are waiving our 10% commission fee as an introductory offer. That means Hosts receive 95% of the fee for a successful booking.

Q: How do I arrange a GoGet van for my move-in?
A: You can book directly through GoGet. If you’re a long-term renter using the Concierge Service, we may arrange a free van for you. Contact us for further details.
Q: Is a trolley available for moving items?
A: Yes, eligible hosts and renters can access a free platform trolley to make move-ins and move-outs easier.
Q: What should I bring on move-in day?
A: Bring your booking confirmation, ID, and any packing materials. If you’ve booked a Concierge-supported unit, our team may assist with coordination.

Q: Are renters verified?
A: Yes. Every renter is vetted to ensure responsible use and protect host properties.
Q: Can I store anything I want?
A: No. Items must comply with our storage guidelines. Hazardous, illegal, or perishable goods are not permitted.
Q: How is my unit protected?
A: Each unit is secured according to strata and building standards. Additional security measures may vary by location.
💳 Payments & Pricing
Q: How do payments work?
A: Renters pay securely via Stripe. Hosts receive payouts through Stripe Connect. Payments can also be arranged via direct debit.
Q: Are there any hidden fees?
A: No hidden fees. Concierge Service fees are clearly stated and based on one month’s rental per booking.
Q: Can I offer discounts or flexible terms?
A: Yes. Hosts can set custom pricing, offer long-term rates, or include promotional offers.
Q: What does CBDstorage-parking.com.au charge for each booking?
A: We take just 5% of the rental fee—that’s it. The rest goes directly to the host. There are no hidden fees or surprise charges. The renter pays the price plus a 2% fee if paying through stripe to cover transaction fees. This discounted fee is an introductory offer for the first 12 months at which time the standard fee of 15% for hosts will apply.
Q: How is the rental price calculated and paid?
A: Listings display the price per day, but renters can book for longer periods. If your booking is longer than one month, you have two options:
- Pay in advance for the full period at checkout, or
- Request monthly payments. If you prefer this, just let us know during booking and we’ll set up a payment schedule for you.

A: Log into your dashboard and go to “My Listings.” You can edit descriptions, pricing, and media.

A: Yes! We welcome partnerships with estate agents who share our vision for improving access to secure, central storage in the Melbourne CBD. Agents are invited to list eligible storage units on behalf of their clients and benefit from our platform’s visibility, concierge support, and renter verification process.
Q: Is this site affiliated with The CBD Storage Place or Norman Bell?
A: No, we are totally independent from The CBD Storage Place operated by Norman Bell. Our platform is a separate initiative focused on connecting individual strata owners and renters at 601 Little Collins Street and beyond.
🛎️ Concierge Service & Payment Enforcement
Q: What happens if a renter doesn’t pay on time?
A: As part of our Concierge Service, we assist hosts with managing non-payment situations. If a renter is more than 7 days in arrears, the host is entitled to terminate the booking and deem the goods abandoned in accordance with our platform terms. We also assist with lockout coordination to secure the unit and prevent further access until the matter is resolved.
